ABOUT THE DOCTOR
Dr Adi Barlev-Ehrenberg is an adult endocrinologist who was born in Israel and raised and medically trained in the United States. She returned to Israel in 2019 and is committed to providing high-quality, compassionate endocrine care to both Hebrew-speaking and Anglo patients.
Dr Barlev-Ehrenberg places strong emphasis on patient education, believing that medical care should include not only clear recommendations but also thorough explanations, enabling patients to understand their condition and take an active role in their care.
She manages a wide range of endocrine conditions, including:
- Thyroid disorders: hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism
- Parathyroid disorders: hypercalcemia and hypocalcemia
- Bone health: osteoporosis and osteopenia
- Diabetes: prediabetes, type 2 diabetes, and undiagnosed or atypical diabetes, including all forms of MODY
- For type 1 diabetes, she offers consultations and generally recommends ongoing follow-up within a multidisciplinary clinic
- Weight management
- Menstrual irregularities, including PCOS
- Perimenopause and menopause
- Low testosterone in men
- Adrenal conditions: incidental findings on imaging, adenomas, congenital adrenal hyperplasia, and adrenal insufficiency
