Anglo Doctors in Israel ("we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard information from all visitors to our website and users of our services, including patients, doctors, and the general public.

3. Doctor Directory Communications

When patients use the "Email Doctor" function, messages are sent directly to the doctor.

Anglo Doctors in Israel collects limited metadata, including patient email address, which doctor they are contacting, and at what time, for the purpose of spam prevention.

Anglo Doctors in Israel does not read, store, or monitor the content of the messages sent to doctors.

We take no responsibility for the content or outcomes of these exchanges (see separate Terms & Conditions).
4. WhatsApp AI Concierge
Our WhatsApp AI Concierge ("the Concierge") is an automated assistant that helps users find English-speaking doctors in the Anglo Doctors in Israel directory. The Concierge is powered by artificial intelligence and is not a human, a medical professional, or a substitute for medical advice.
Phone numbers and anonymisation:

We do not store or log your WhatsApp phone number in our internal records. When you send a message to the Concierge, our systems convert your number into a non-reversible anonymous identifier (for example, user-a3k7f9) before any logging takes place.

This means our staff cannot see your phone number, even when reviewing conversation logs for quality or debugging.

Your real phone number exists only transiently in memory while the Concierge generates and delivers its reply; it is never written to disk, logs, or our records.

WhatsApp itself (operated by Meta) necessarily handles your phone number as part of delivering messages. We have no control over Meta's retention of this data. Please refer to Meta's Privacy Policy for details.
What we collect and log when you use the Concierge:

The anonymous identifier described above (used to link messages in the same conversation).

The full content of messages you send to the Concierge.

The content of replies the Concierge sends you.

Timestamps and basic technical metadata for each exchange (e.g., token counts, response mode).
How we use Concierge data:

To generate relevant responses in real time. Your messages are sent to Anthropic's Claude AI service to produce the response. Anthropic processes this data on our behalf under their published data-use terms and does not use Concierge messages to train their models.

To maintain short-term conversation context (for up to 15 minutes per conversation), so the Concierge can understand follow-up questions.

To log conversations for quality assurance, debugging, safety monitoring, and service improvement. Logs are stored in a secure, access-restricted Google Sheet and retained for up to 12 months, after which they are deleted.

To identify and prevent abuse, spam, or harmful use of the service.
Important notes about the Concierge:

The Concierge does not provide medical advice, diagnoses, or treatment recommendations. If you describe medical symptoms, it will decline to advise and will direct you to appropriate resources.

In an emergency, the Concierge will direct you to Magen David Adom (101) but cannot itself summon help.

Please do not send the Concierge sensitive personal information (such as ID numbers, full medical history, or financial details). If you do, it will be logged as part of the conversation record (though, as noted, without any link to your phone number).
5. Cookies and Analytics

You may disable cookies in your browser settings, but some features of the site may not function properly.
6. Sharing of Information
We do not sell personal information. We may share information only in the following cases:

With Meta (WhatsApp), which transmits and temporarily stores messages between you and the Concierge as part of its messaging platform.

With sponsors or partners, but only where explicit consent has been given.
7. Data Security

Information is stored securely using Wix, Google, Anthropic, Meta, and associated third-party services.

For the WhatsApp Concierge, phone number anonymisation happens before any data is written to our systems, providing an additional layer of protection against accidental exposure.

However, no system is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to:

Access the personal data we hold about you, including your WhatsApp Concierge conversation history.

Request corrections or updates to your data.

Request deletion of your personal data (subject to legal requirements).

Withdraw consent for certain processing activities. For the WhatsApp Concierge, you can withdraw consent by simply no longer sending messages to the service; you may also request deletion of your prior conversation logs by providing the content of your messages so we can identify them (since we cannot look them up by phone number).
9. Children's Privacy
Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 18. If you are under 18, please do not use the WhatsApp AI Concierge.

Our website may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of these external sites.
11. Updates to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
