ABOUT THE DOCTOR
Dr David Vinegrad is a highly experienced dentist with decades of clinical practice in Israel. He trained and worked in oral and maxillofacial surgery in hospitals in England before making Aliyah in 1979. Following his immigration, he served as a dental officer in the Israeli Army, and later continued to serve in the reserves for 17 years, including service in Lebanon in 1984 after the First Lebanon War.
In 1982, Dr Vinegrad opened his first private dental clinic. In 1999, he expanded his practice with a second clinic in Herzliya, and in 2002 relocated his main practice to Ramat HaSharon. He currently works in his Ramat HaSharon clinic five days a week and in his Arad clinic on Tuesdays.
His approach to dentistry is deeply shaped by personal experience. As a child, Dr Vinegrad was extremely anxious about dental visits, having undergone painful treatments without local anaesthetic. These early experiences left a strong impression and ultimately motivated his decision to pursue dentistry. At the age of 16, an encounter with a young dentist who communicated calmly, explained procedures, and provided pain relief transformed his outlook and inspired him to apply to dental school.
Throughout his training and career, Dr Vinegrad developed a clear philosophy: dentistry should be as comfortable, calm, and pain-free as possible. This philosophy guided both his clinical practice and the design of his dental clinics. His surgeries are intentionally designed to feel welcoming and non-threatening, avoiding the typical intimidating layout of dental equipment. The dental chair is positioned centrally without restrictive trays or posts, allowing patients to sit up easily. Equipment such as the drill, X-ray, and lighting is discreetly placed to reduce anxiety and create a more relaxed environment.
Dr Vinegrad is known for his gentle approach, clear communication, and commitment to making dental care a positive experience for every patient.
