Originally from Worcester, Massachusetts, Dr. Spierer made Aliyah from Philadelphia in 2001 and now lives in Jerusalem with his family.

Dr. Spierer is board certified in Family Medicine in both Israel and the United States. He served for more than fourteen years as a partner at the Family Medical Center Wolfson in Jerusalem, followed by over two years in the Emergency Department at Shaare Zedek Medical Center. Since 2010, he has also worked in the United States, providing Emergency Medicine care in rural Critical Access hospitals in Minnesota and Wisconsin.

In Israel, Dr. Spierer focuses on comprehensive home based consultations for patients with multiple or complex medical conditions. His service is particularly suited to individuals who may have difficulty with Hebrew, who find the Israeli medical system challenging to navigate or who require more time and attention than a standard clinic visit allows. Consultations take place in the patient’s home and include a full review of medical issues, tailored recommendations and a detailed written summary.

Dr. Spierer also provides home visits for acute and minor illnesses.
