BIO:
Dr. Halpern is a compassionate and experienced psychiatrist who integrates medical, psychological, and sociocultural perspectives into his work.

He has extensive experience caring for children, adolescents, and adults from diverse backgrounds and is dedicated to helping each patient achieve emotional wellness and live a fulfilling life. His clinical approach draws from psychodynamic therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), family systems therapy, pastoral counseling, and integrative psychopharmacology.

Dr. Halpern’s broad clinical background includes work in integrated care, inpatient and outpatient psychiatry, substance use treatment, and consult-liaison psychiatry. He has held teaching and supervisory positions for medical students and psychiatric residents, earning multiple Educational Honor Roll awards at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.

After making Aliyah in 2023, Dr. Halpern now serves as an attending psychiatrist at Eitanim Hospital near Jerusalem and maintains a private practice in Beit Shemesh, where he provides care for English- and Hebrew-speaking patients. He also continues to see patients virtually in the United States.

Dr. Halpern is a member of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, the American Psychiatric Association, and the American Medical Association.
