ABOUT THE DOCTOR
Dr. Oren Ledder is a leading specialist in pediatric gastroenterology and advanced endoscopy, serving as Head of Pediatric Gastrointestinal Endoscopy at Shaare Zedek Medical Center and Head of Endoscopy Research for ESPGHAN — the European Society for Paediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition.
He trained at the Royal Children's Hospital in Melbourne and completed an advanced interventional endoscopy fellowship at Sheffield Children's Hospital in the UK, developing expertise in high-complexity pediatric procedures. He is a member of the joint ESGE-ESPGHAN guideline committee and a senior academic instructor who trains endoscopists across Israel and internationally.
Dr. Ledder's clinical practice covers the full spectrum of pediatric gastrointestinal disease, including Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, eosinophilic esophagitis, and pancreatic disorders. He leads complex interventional procedures such as endoscopic dilations and foreign body removal, and manages difficult IBD cases including the tailoring of biological therapies.
He also initiates and leads multicentre research studies that shape current clinical guidelines in pediatric gastroenterology worldwide.
